Shortly after we got home from St. John, my friend Tina and her family came over for dinner. Tina, and her daughter Mati (in the photo below), kind of experienced the whole broken arm drama in real-time, as we were either texting each other, or talking to each other, or Mati and Anna were texting each other, while things were happening. On my end, I was merely handwringing; on Tina’s end, she was searching flights out of St. Thomas for us, just in case.
When they came over that night for dinner, Anna whipped up some slings on her sewing machine, for herself, Mati, and Mati’s sister, Hannah. While Carsten sat on the sofa, icing his arm, Mati sat next to him and kept him company, sling and all. CUTEST THING EVER.

awwww…How sweet. Have a great weekend.
I’m sitting here scratching the bug bites on my legs in St John (by the way, Avon Skin So Soft is awesome to keep the mosquitos and no-see-ums away, but you have to remember to put it on. Too many Margaritas will make you forget.)
This picture is priceless. Especially because if Mati’s sling were for real, she’d still be crying. And if she got even one of these bug bites, I’d have to fly her to miami to see a bug-bite specialist.
We talked to a waitress at Ocean Grill who got her foot run over by a truck last year…they took her to the ‘hospital’ here…and you’ll never believe this…the surgeon who is there one day a month (yes…one day…per month!) just happened to be there. And she actually let this once-a-month-surgeon put her foot back together. I think I’m glad the surgeon wasn’t on duty when you guys were here
Be home tomorrow night, so be sure to melt off all that white stuff before we land, ok?
Awh, that is cute! Melts your heart…
Our moment is a bit different this week… http://sofiasideas.com/2012/01/20/this-moment-50/
I really hope you will take a “moment” to come by!
Nothing like a bit of moral support! How clever of Anna to whip up the slings. Very sweet photo indeed. Happy weekend. Jacinta
oh goodness, that melts my heart! Absolutely adorable.
