If you’re a regular reader here, then you know that on Fridays, I normally share a photo from the previous week, as part of the {this moment} series hosted by Soule Mama. This month has been full to bursting, though, so today, instead of one moment, I thought I’d share some random photos from several moments throughout this past month.
:: a bit of holiday baking (much less, admittedly, than in years past because….Hello, treadmill!)
:: talk of skiing prompted us to assess our ski/snow pant situation. Lena offered her help.
:: Birthdays, birthdays, and more birthdays! We know more people who celebrate birthdays this month than any other. December is kind of one l-o-n-g birthday celebration. This, just happened to be mine, and Noel and the kids surprised me with an ice cream cake!
:: Candlelit dinners every evening, courtesy of our fire-loving boy.
:: My little “elf,” who scored a solo in the school Christmas music performance.
:: More swim meets!
:: A little horse love….
:: A memorable evening spent with my Tribe. You know who you are, and I adore you all. Thanks for one of my most memorable – yet not – nights in December!
:: I have not gone fewer than three times a week to the gym since I joined in November. I haven’t (yet!) lost the ginormous amount of weight I’d thought I would, but as my trainer pointed out, if you can just maintain during the month of December, you’re doing pretty good, and I am happy to say that, I (along with my thighs!) have maintained!
:: The aftermath of one of our early Christmas celebrations. In case you’re new here, we only have TWO kids. Yowza.
:: In the midst of all the Christmas chaos….a small moment of family game time, playing Operation. And this is the great thing about having kids: you can totally play all those silly old games you used to love as a kid, and it’s totally acceptable, because it’s all done in the name of parenting.
:: I just happened to be walking my daughter to a play date, when I happened upon this full moon. What a marvelous, unexpected surprise!

Here’s hoping your December has also been full of many, many ‘moments.’ If you have one you’d like to share, please leave a link in the comments for all to find and see. Happy Holidays to all!

Great photos–they sure do capture the season!
Well….almost. I didn’t have any of the mall / grocery store cluster-chaos, but who needs to be reminded of that anyway, right?!
Wow…what great shots!
Thanks for sharing…really neat to see.
Thanks, Carrie!
This works so well – your ‘moments’ build a beautiful big picture of warmth and family and fun. Wishing you peace and joy in this season, my friend.
Fab pictures!! and Happy Birthday!! (a few days late but hey..
). Hope you are having a great Christmas break and enjoying some chill time after all the hectic days before Christmas.
Loving all your moments. A very happy birthday to you. I hope you were spoilt and the day was well spent. Hopefully you all had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying the days that follow. Thanks for your friendship this year and I have enjoyed the connection the girls have made. May many wonderful adventures come your way in 2012. Jacinta xx
